Where the Trail Meets the Water

Sterling River Boots started because someone kept ruining good footwear on bad terrain. Creek crossings, muddy banks, trails that can’t decide if they’re wet or dry — the kind of conditions where most boots tap out by noon. So we built boots that don’t.

We make waterproof, trail-ready boots for people who spend time in and around moving water — anglers, backcountry hikers, guides, and anyone who’s ever stepped wrong and felt that cold seep in. Sterling isn’t a fashion label that wandered outdoors. Every design decision traces back to real field use: grip that holds on wet rock, construction that dries overnight, fit that doesn’t punish you after six hours on your feet.

The name comes from the clarity of cold, clean water — and that’s the standard we hold ourselves to. No overbuilt gimmicks, no inflated price tags, no boots that look tough on a shelf and fall apart on a riverbank. Just honest footwear made for where pavement ends and the water starts.

Worn In, Worn Out There

“Three seasons in and these boots still haven’t let me in. The ankle support on uneven riverbeds is genuinely impressive — I stopped thinking about my footing and started thinking about fishing.”

Marcus T.

“I’ve gone through four pairs of wading boots in ten years. These are the first ones where the grip didn’t start failing by midsummer. Sticky soles on wet granite, no slipping.”

Dana K.

Wore them through six days straight on the Deschutes. My feet were tired, but the boots held up better than I did. Good construction, solid lacing — nothing felt loose by day three.”

Got Questions?

How long does shipping take?

Standard orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days and delivered within 5–7 business days. Expedited options are available at checkout for faster arrival.

How should footwear like this be cleaned and maintained?

A damp cloth works well for removing surface dirt after each use. Conditioning the leather or treated upper periodically helps preserve flexibility and water resistance. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat when drying.

Is there a warranty on defects or manufacturing issues?

A 12-month limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and construction. Normal wear, accidental damage, and improper care are not included under warranty terms.

What is the return policy?

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unworn and in original packaging. A prepaid return label is provided once a return request is submitted through the order portal.

How does the sizing run — true to size or should adjustments be made?

Sizing generally runs true to standard measurements. For wider feet or those planning to wear thick socks, going up half a size tends to give a more comfortable fit.

What is the best way to reach customer support?

The support team can be contacted via the contact form on the website or by email. Response times are typically within 1 business day. Order number should be included for faster assistance.
